ACL RECONSTRUCTION

The treatment for rupture of the cruciate ligament varies according to the individual needs of the patient. For example, young athletes competing in competitive sports probably need surgery to return safely to the sport. The less active, usually older, person can return to a quieter lifestyle without surgery.

Surgery for cruciate ligament is performed with a small arthroscope (camera). Arthroscopic surgery is less invasive. The patient with our new techniques walks from day one without splints and starts his rehabilitation program immediately.
